I have always viewed a person's home as a vital part of their overall financial picture and a great way to build wealth, which is a key component of Certified Mortgage Advisor certification. In an ever-changing market, it is crucial to have a deep understanding of all aspects of the economy and the financial markets. The knowledge I have gained from this certification makes me a more valuable resource to your clients and my referral partners. In Utah, only 15 have earned this designation, and only 10 in Idaho.

A Little About Me

With a degree in business management specializing in finance and international business, along with almost two decades of experience in the mortgage industry, and time spent in the financial services industry previous to his mortgage career, Dave has the expertise and experience to help first-time home buyers through seasoned homeowners, anywhere in the great states of Utah and Idaho. Whether you are buying a home or refinancing, Dave can help you realize your dream of home ownership, save you money when refinancing by lowering your payment or save interest by shortening the term of your loan.

Dave also loves to help seniors with Reverse Mortgages, a product that is underutilized in today's society.

A native of the Pacific Northwest, Dave moved to Utah to attend school and married Elaine, a Utah County native who is an elementary school teacher. They settled in Eagle Mountain and have lived there since 2002, where they have raised their family of 4 daughters and 2 sons. Dave and Elaine are avid Westlake High School band boosters, having served on the booster board since the school's opening, while supporting each of their six children as members of the “Marching Thunder” throughout their high school careers, and still supporting the band after their children have graduated. Dave and Elaine now serve the band community by helping organize the "Red Rocks" Utah State Marching Band Championships each year. They also serve in their local church congregation and enjoy traveling to Major League Baseball games around the country, and collecting magnets to fill up their refrigerator door and prints to fill the walls of their home with memories of times together and with family.

Dave’s business motto has always been very simple: “How would I want my grandmother to be treated?” He has found that as long as he stays true to it, clients and business partners tend to be happy.
